A Safe Haven

 

Everyone deserves a peaceful and safe home – this can take the form of a physical home, a hearth dedicated to the Goddess, it can also be a quiet place within oneself, where our heart is the altar of the Goddess (or the God). As we walk upon this earth, we know our time upon it is limited. Earthly life provides a priceless opportunity to find internal harmony, which is expressed in the outer or material world through Temperance - uniting Justice with Compassion. And so it is within our wonderful Fellowship of Isis – we don’t point fingers, we don’t seek conflict, we do not vilify. Instead we learn, we educate, we grow.

The Fellowship of Isis was conceived, founded and dedicated to further awareness of the Divine Feminine and to bring balance between the Goddess and the God. Our purpose is to assist humanity's awakening into the Golden Age of Peace. The Age of Peace is sorely needed.

Fellowship of Isis Central exists to provide a safe haven, so that certification and degrees are not rescinded, teachers are not shamed or nullified. We honor the autonomy of the workings of every FOI center, which is inspired by the inspiration of the tutelary deity/deities of that center. If one does not agree with the workings of a center, leave the founder and the members of that group alone in peace.

The Manifesto of the Fellowship of Isis clearly outlines the principles upon which we are based, that of peace, tolerance and respect for all spiritual expression.

I say to any who need to read these words: “Sheathe the Sword.” May Healing Rays be sent forth in Peace for All FOI Members, and for All Beings.

Beltane Blessings, Aset Shemsu! Isian News no. 188, Beltane 2023, has been published! Happy Anniversary to the Fellowship of Isis

Blessed Vernal Equinox, Aset Shemsu! Today we honor the founding of the Fellowship of Isis, which was established on theVernal Equinox in 1976. Did you ever wonder why the founders chose this date? Olivia expressed her views in an interview given at the Nesu House, Isis Oasis, in 2003. She offered some beautiful insights the reasoning why this date was chosen, including this passage: "Spring marked the time of ancient Egyptian harvest. My brother, through his studies, discovered the four faces of Khufu’s pyramid are slightly concave - as commented upon by Petrie; the intent of this construction may have marked advent of the equinoxes. Lawrence discovered the pillar of Osiris, known as the djed, was used as a kind of celestial measuring-pole. The djed, when shown tilted, symbolised the Autumn Equinox and the confinement of Osiris within the coffin; whereas the djed when upright, denotes the Spring Equinox and the recovery of Osiris by Isis." We Say Your Name That You May Live! Olivia Robertson, co-founder of the Fellowship of Isis was born on 13 April 1917. We honor her especially on this day, and acknowledge the many contributions she made, and how she touched so many lives, igniting a spark for the greater good. Olivia especially of the three co-founders, was the one that drew us all together, as Aset Shemsu, to become a worldwide community. Blessings of Isis to you, dear Olivia as you dance among the stars!

Isian News was created by the FOI Co-founders and first published in the summer of 1976. It has been continuously published quarterly since that date.

Anniversary of the Founding of the FOI: March 21

March 18- Celebrate the Birth of the FOI on March 21: “Earth Magic of Transformation” in Urania. Rite by Attunement for All FOI Members are free to join in by around the world on March 21st, Spring Equinox, which is the actual FOI Birthday/Date of the Founding - either as full ceremonial, or reading it, and visualising it.

There doesn't have to be a specific time as that is difficult to coordinate internationally, without it being inconvenient for some. All the rites can be done solo, by reading aloud, perhaps with a candle, and or incense, or more elaborate if you choose! Relax beforehand, and anoint your brow with water before you start. Make sure you won't be interrupted by phones or people. Cats and dogs usually like to join in!

Just a friendly reminder: the heads of all centers are responsible for keeping their own records of titles conferred via consecration or ordination, and all degrees earned. This is in accordance with the wishes of FOI Co-Founder Olivia Robertson, who continued the gradual decentralization of the Fellowship of Isis, a process she began in 1999. Any members who wish to send copies of their records to FOI Central for listings on the website or for inclusion in Isian News are warmly welcome

ORACLE OF THE GODDESS TARA THROUGH HER PRIESTESS

Priestess: (Invocation) I invoke Thee, the Goddess Tara! Thou art the Pristine Spirit, the Ultimate Nature and the clear Light of Heaven. Thou art the One Who encloses the Universe. Help us to rise above the sorrows and follies of this material world!

Oracle: Have Peace. Peace is now, in your heart, if you will accept it. You will not attain Spiritual Light by refusing to face the darkness. The darkness not only contains your past but also, through transmutation, your future. Have courage. I have gone before you as a mortal woman and shall come again. I breathe my life into all beings and I suffer with them and share their ignorance and follies!

The greatest evil you fear is death. There is no death. While you are identified with a body of clay you find it difficult to enjoy the bliss of the heavens. You are beset by grief, hatred, violence and cruelty. But you also acquire merit through overcoming these obstacles to Illumination. There are souls who never incarnate upon the earth. And these shine like the stars with pure light. But those such as yourselves who struggle bravely every day with its worries and sorrows gallantly walk backwards into the future! You do not know even what your next day will bring.

The peace I bring is faith in the Divine Love, Buddhi. Take my lotus of ever-renewing life and so accept the future, whatever this may bring you. Know that the delusions of this earth become the material for creation in the Heavens. My magic is renewal. I do not ask you to reject evil, but to transmute it through understanding into good. I am Tara of the Many Selves: of the Heavens, of the dreaming moon, of the harsh earth. I enclose all these Selves in my rainbow Halo that encompasses all beings in my eternal Love, Beauty and Truth.

Prayers for Healing

The Fellowship of Isis Central Website and the FOI Union Triad ask all members to send prayers for healing and protection to all those affected by the hurricanes in southeast of the United States, the earthquake in Mexico, floods in Asia and other natural catastrophes worldwide. May all who have been adversely affected receive the strength, healing and blessings of the Goddess Isis, Great Mother of All, during these trying times.

Mirror Magic with Olivia Robertson

In honor of the Centenary of Olivia Robertson (b. April 13, 1917) a series of thirteen meditations will be conducted from April 1 - April 13. The meditations are focused upon a particular magical technique employed by Olivia Robertson and her brother Lawrence Durdin-Robertson in their temple. FOI Daily Prayer

Many members have asked, “What can I do?” There is a simple thing every FOI member can perform each day: saying the FOI Daily Prayer. Olivia used this prayer twice daily in the Temple of Isis at Clonegal Castle. She suggested attunement times by members at some point between 6:30 – 8:30 morning and evening in their own time zone.

“When we attune ourselves beyond our physical sense at dawn and dusk, we are learning to commune with the beautiful spheres of the Goddesses and Gods. By inducing a serene and kindly mind, wishing good to all, we receive transmissions from beyond our own Egos. Protected by an aura of Isian Light, we commune with each other, Spirit Guides, angels, and above all, ISIS of 10,000 Goddesses and Their Consorts. There is a cosmos out there awaiting us.” ~ Olivia Robertson
