Iseum of the Living Muse

Elemental Magick Workshop

Presented by R. Eugene Laughlin, PhD.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 3:PM

The Classical Elements, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, are the literal cornerstones of the Western Tradition and all related magical systems. Conceptually, they represent the pre-physical matter that gives rise to all emanations of substance in our material world, thereby generating the very fabric of our lives. A brief overview of the history and development of the Elements in Western thought and literature will be provided and traced to modern magical traditions, as the context for understanding the significant potential for practical applications of the Elements in modern times. Then, a series of developmental exercises/meditations designed to foster sensory awareness of the Elemental forces influencing the circumstances, interactions, and inter-personal relations that define the magician’s daily life will be presented and demonstrated.

Offered by The Iseum of the Living Muse.
